Conference panels will take place at the Claude T. Bissell Building on the downtown St. George campus of the University of Toronto. The Bissell Building is home to the Faculty of Information. Known as Canada’s Global Information School, the iSchool is considered to be among the world’s leading information and knowledge management schools. It is also home to the first PhD program in Information Studies in Canada and the only English language Master’s program in Museum Studies in Canada.
The keynote address and presentation of the Dallas Smythe award will take place at the Bahen Centre for Information Technology. Located at 40 St George St., the Bahen Centre is a state-of-the-art building used chiefly by the Department of Computer Science, the Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering, and the Department of Mathematics. In contrast to the historic grandeur of University College, the Bahen Centre offers conference attendees a glimpse of the University of Toronto’s cutting edge architecture and facilities.
